What Customers Say About SanDisk Sansa Clip 2 GB MP3 Player (Black):

With help from Sansa we reset the software and it has worked fine ever since. Two of our Sansa users found the included earbuds uncomfortable and replaced them with j-buds, the other user is fine with the included buds.

We will purchase another when our youngest child is old enough. We love the great FM radio receoption.

This is the third Sansa Clip that our family has purchased. Battery life is more than sufficient.

The clips have been dangled, dropped, and squished in pockets. They are still going.

We did have a little trouble with the fist when we repeatedly turned off the computer while the Sansa was plugged into it for charging. However, we now avoid the problem because we have purchased chargers for our clips.

This is the best MP3 player I have ever owned. It's tiny and it sounds like a stereo system. The price is unbelievable. Very easy to function also and clips anywhere on your body with no problem.

We're a Sansa Clip family. Exhaustive (and exhausting) troubleshooting emails with SanDisk's tech support prove futile, at which point they decide that you should ship the unit to them for inspection, insured, at your cost. Now, having said all that, it's a good thing they are inexpensive.

They've got terrific sound (ditch the included headphones and upgrade to ones that are comfortable - we like Skullcandy INK'D Earbuds (Black)). Within a year of use, they have either suddenly stopped charging or suddenly stopped being able to sync with the PC (no changes had been made to either PC or mp3 player). We LOVE them.

We've had warranty claims for 4 out of 7 of the Sansa Clips we've owned. The Sansa Clip has tons of features (equalizer, FM radio, voice recorder.)., is super-user friendly and can run easily on Windows Media Player so doesn't require special software. The battery life is even great and can charge using a USB port on the PC as it syncs.

Multiple vague and completely unhelpful "solutions" are given on Sansa's website. Bottom line - buy the Sansa Clip, but save yourself some hassles and buy SquareTrade's extended warranty.

I've had this player for a couple of years now and can definitely recommend it. My only other complaints are: 1) almost no documentation to tell you how to use it. 2) I haven't figured how to organize the files, so they are in random order even though they were downloaded in order. I was shocked how small it is, but it's held up very well despite being dropped, used in the rain, etc. Now that the price has come down even further, I would recommend getting one with more memory. It's easy to add files from your computer, just drag and drop. I originally paid about $50 for the Sansa when Ipods were $100 at the time and didn't have as many features. Luckily I had a clever friend who taught me the basic functions.

I do have to charge it from my desktop computer--it doesn't charge well from my laptop unless I'm using the laptop. I am going to look into getting a plug in charger. Since there is the little screen, I can quickly scan through the selections. The 2GB holds about 30 hours which would be a lot of songs, but I use mine for podcasts such as This American Life.

It's easy to use, the controls are intuitive, Windows Media Player allows me to move my podcasts over to it or create playlists easily and quickly, I never manage to run the batteries down more than half way, and it's extremely compact and lightweight. I burned through two iPods before trying a Sansa Clip, so I'm familiar with the "advantages" of the iPod. In fact, I never had a chance to break my first clip - it was so small that I misplaced it. One iPod died on me within a month of the warranty expiring, and while the other died within the warranty, Apple's warranty site was persistently "down for maintenance" until the warranty had expired. Nice trick, Apple. The clip is GREAT. I'm on my second now, a refurbished model that's running strong 6 months in. For the price and the quality, I'd recommend this item to anyone interested in an MP3 player.
